Whimple Parish Council works to serve the needs of the local community. This website is here to provide information about its work, meeting documents and responsibilities.

​Whimple is a parish in East Devon, approximately 10 miles east of Exeter. The village is centred on The Square, which is 1 mile from the London Road at Hand and Pen and 1.75 miles from the Daisymount junction on the A30. There are outlying dwellings within the parish at Strete Ralegh, Willow View, Hand and Pen and Cobden.

​The character of the centre of the village was recognised in its designation as a Conservation Area in 1992. The village is surrounded by agricultural land, with cider apple orchards being a distinctive feature. Within the parish there are a number of public rights of way and footpaths.
